FAQ

Do you have a question?

Here are some frequently asked questions - if you don't find the answer you need here - please reach out via my contact form, and I will respond within 48 business hours.

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Don't be nervous! I know everyone says that, but I mean it. Coming to a session with nerves is perfectly normal, but within minutes of us starting I promise you'll quickly be put at ease. I do my best to work with your comfort levels to ensure we get authentic photos... don't like PDA? We will keep your session more light and fun. Don't know where to put your hands? I'll do a little extra posing to make sure you feel like you look your absolute best. Plan to come into the session and know there may be times you feel silly - but often that results in the most natural and beautiful images from your session

What is an elopement or micro-wedding?

I specialize in small weddings and elopements. So what are those?

Small weddings are less than 100 guests, usually somewhere special to you like a family member's backyard, or a place with a lot of character such as a historic venue (an art gallery, old Inn, or a historic mansion)... a location that speaks to you as a couple

Elopements are wedding ceremonies/days with less than 6 guests (and ideally just the couple getting married). This may be at City Hall, or in a backyard - or we may fly to Iceland together. But it's all about intimacy and stepping away from the standard wedding traditions to make a day that is uniquely you.

Are you available outside of Connecticut and Oregon?

Yes. I can travel for sessions and elopements - custom travel quotes will apply for these sessions. I am happy to work anywhere that I legally can (some countries restrict international photographers, so reach out and we can talk if you're wanting me to leave the United States).

Travel costs will include: airfare or mileage, overnight lodging if outside of New England or the Pacific Northwest (multiple nights will apply for elopements), food for the duration of the trip - and any incidental costs such as parking or baggage fees that may apply. All travel expenses will be invoiced following your written approval of a travel quote; and must be paid to complete your booking.
